With regards to road transport we will campaign for a new lorry park for Felixstowe dock, in order to eliminate current unsatisfactory stacking arrangements off the A14; we will also support Bury St Edmunds Society’s campaign to get container lorries off the A14 and onto the railway network. We will continue to argue that Stansted airport’s new “stack” should be over the North Sea and not over the Bramford to Lavenham area which would spoil the tranquillity of a substantial part of rural Suffolk.
